I wouldn't get rid of WINS unless you know that you can get by w/o NetBIOS name resolution. The connection could have been aborted by the remote client. The spokes each have the hub as their push/pull replication partner. (as per Technet's recommendation)So everything is set how Microsoft wants it to be.
