I manage 150> > computers all using winXP sp2 in a lab setting. According to a response I got from the MS guy I dealt with it is by design and makes perfect sense since the monitor is set to timeout before the screensaver An error message appears that says:Error encountered while creating registry key. I have made sure that Authenticated Users have the Apply Group Policy permission defined. Can anyone help me on this? So we have gone to trying to use the group policy > settings> in active directory. We are trying to use a microsoft product called winexit.exe.

It seems that there are some conflicts between power management and the winexit.scr screen saver. We are on an active directory system here. Winexit Windows 7 Great.
