In the 'Variable value' field, type IphlpsvcMigPlugin.dll. I don't use Automatic Updates, but if you do, and find the yellow shield never goes away, you may be experiencing this problem. In addition to the "update history", there are two plain text log files in the C:\WINDOWS folder. How can you know such a very difficult "cure"? The dreaded hang at 62% during the upgrade process. This will ensure that Windows 7 has a chance to download the latest installation updates directly from Microsoft at the outset of the upgrade process.
